Who is responsible for processing your personal data within the meaning of the GDPR?
Controller within the meaning of the GDPR is Edmund Optics GmbH, Isaac-Fulda-Allee 5, 55124 Mainz.
Who is the Data Protection Officer at EDOP?
For what purposes and on what legal basis will your personal data be processed?
Your personal data will be processed within the framework of the initiation and decision on the establishment of an employment relationship. The legal basis for the processing results from Art. 88 GDPR in connection with § 26 of the German Data Privacy Act (BDSG - Data protection for the purpose of employment relationship). If the processing of personal data is necessary to fulfil a legal obligation to which EDOP is subject, Art. 6 para. 1 lit. c GDPR serves as the legal basis.
Who will receive your personal data?
Your personal data will be passed on to contract processors commissioned by us, insofar as this is necessary for the fulfilment of the purpose.
How long will your personal data be stored?
Your personal data will be stored for as long as it is required to fulfil the above-mentioned purposes. It will be deleted as soon as the purpose of storage no longer applies.
At the end of the application process, the data is deleted with a period of 6 months, unless the data is still needed for the conduct of the employment relationship.
What are your rights with regard to your personal data (data subjects' rights)?
If you process personal data, you are a data subject within the meaning of the GDPR and you are entitled to the following rights vis-à-vis EDOP.
You have a right of access pursuant to Art. 15 GDPR about your personal data processed by us. You should specify your request in order to make it easier for us to compile the necessary data.
If the information concerning you is (no longer) accurate, you can request rectification in accordance with Art. 16 GDPR. If your data is incomplete, you may request that it be completed.
You can request the erasure of your personal data under the conditions of Art. 17 GDPR.
Within the scope of the provisions of Art. 18 GDPR, you have the right to demand that processing of your personal data be restricted.
Pursuant to Art. 21 GDPR, you have the right to object to the processing of your data at any time for reasons arising from your particular situation.
Within the framework of data portability pursuant to Art. 20 GDPR, you have the right to receive the personal data concerning you which you have provided to us in a structured, common and machine-readable format.
In order to exercise your rights, please contact the above-mentioned person responsible, as they are responsible for implementing your rights.
Right of appeal to a supervisory authority
Without prejudice to any other administrative or judicial remedy, you have the right to complain to a supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State where you reside, at your place of work or at the place where the infringement is alleged, if you consider that the processing of your personal data is in breach of the GDPR or other relevant data protection provisions.
